Open meadows May - July 2021
We are delighted to open the meadows during this difficult year and provide an open and safe place to roam in nature. featuring over 5 Km of paths Wildflower meadows re-wilding fields with ponds Stream with stepping stones Woodland walk Land art by John Calder (download below) Not suitable for dogs due to livestock. Entrance fee £4:00 for Adults £1:00 for Children. Toddlers and babies - FREE All proceeds support conservation work via Hogchester Farm Charity (reg 1078770) tickets can be pre-purchased on line (preferred) https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/nullopen-meadows2019-06-150900t-rgkxon/t-zqrexr Or use the honesty box in the car park (emptied daily) By car The entrance for parking on Hogchester is directly off Westover Hill. Exit the A35 for 'The Tunnel' at Charmouth. Our car park is the third right. Overflow parking is available at the 'The Tunnel' - second right. By foot Walk on access is available via the public footpaths from Charmouth Cemetry and also from Wootton Fitzpaine. Accessibility Walk ways along the top of the hills from the car park are suitable for wheelchair access. The remaining areas are too sloppy There is no vehicle access to the meadows via the Hogchester main entrance. COVID19 A hand sanitizer spray is provided in the car park Please use this before touching any gates or styles. social distancing of 2 meters must be respected at all times. if you meet somebody in the wildflower meadows and need to pass then step off the mown path to meet this requirement.
